Red Red Rye
Red Wine Barrel Aged Rye Wine
For this special brew we created a rye wine which matured on barrels of ‘Zuid-Limburgse wijndomein Stokhem’.
It contains 16% of rye malts and 8% of crystal rye malts, this gives the beer a rich caramel flavour with hints of spice.
The barrels on which it matured are Pinot Noir barrels from ‘Wijndomein Stokhem’. These grapes get an unique taste because of the marl soil of the land. You also taste hints of cherries, subtle wood and earthy-ness.
